Operator's Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Winnipeg:

Arrive in Winnipeg and check into your hotel in the town, then spend the rest of the day exploring at leisure.


Day 2 – Travel to Churchill:

In the morning, check out from your Winnipeg hotel ready for the transfer to the airport for your flight to Churchill.

Upon arrival you'll head to your home for the next few nights – a wood-heated log lodge with a warm, cosy ambience and all the modern amenities despite the remote location. One dinner at the lodge is included in the price of the trip, taken on a night of your choice. You can pay for meals here for the other nights or visit some of the other local options.

Day – Touring the Tundra:

This day will be spent exploring Churchill and the surrounding area in your custom-built tundra vehicle. Prepare to be wowed as you track along the coastline in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area, observing polar bears up close as well as looking out for the Arctic fox, Arctic hare and camouflaged ptarmigan, among others.

Day 4 – Cultural Tour & Dog Mushing:

After breakfast at the lodge, you'll begin your day with a cultural and heritage tour of Churchill. This will give you the opportunity to explore the various historic sites such as Cape Merry, the Polar Bear Jail (outside) and the famous plane crash site of "Miss Piggy".

In the afternoon you'll take part in an dog mushing tour, which will see you ride with the dogs either on sleds, if there is snow, or on wheels, if there is none – either way it's an exhilarating and truly unique experience. Afterwards you'll hear how the dogs are trained and stories of adventures as you enjoy hot drinks and fresh bannock with locals, from the comfort of a warm tent.

Day 5 – Tundra Touring & Return to Winnipeg:

Listen to an interpretive presentation in the morning and then explore more of the Hudson Bay area out on the tundra vehicles again. Following lunch you'll transfer to the airport for your flight back to Winnipeg, from which you will be collected and transferred to your local hotel in the town.

Day 6 – Departure:

The trip reaches it's end – check out from your hotel in Winnipeg ready for your onward travel.
