What was your most memorable moment?
The quietness of the Arctic is amazing. The vastness is hard to capture in words or photos. We loved having the opportunity to hike up to a vantage point vista and sit and enjoy the quietness of the world.

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Safety was the priority of our guides. The most memorable was cruising above 80Β° and "floating" among the ice and icebergs. Stunningly beautiful and an experience to behold forever!!!!!

I sent a rather lengthy email to Michael Batley at Swoop concerning our guides. Their expertise, their experience based guiding and joyfulness of spirit made our trip!!!! So educational and so fun!
Tell us about the M/S Quest
We chose an expedition ship because that is who we are. People of Adventure and Amazing Memories!!!!!! The ship was perfect in all aspects.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to The Arctic?
We brought toooooo many clothes!!!! The red Float Coats eliminate the need for so many clothes. Talk to SWOOP about what kind of vessel you would enjoy. That makes a big difference.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
We were 2 of 6 Americans and the rest Swedish or Dutch. It was great to talk about the world we live in and the common problems we share. Conversations like these make the world a smaller place and a better place of understanding each other.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
WE LOVED OUR TEAM! Elke Lindner is an absolutely AMAZING YOUNG WOMAN! Her leadership skills are exhibited with the wisdom of experience. She is a great role model for younger guides. Annette Bombosch was an absolute delight and her knowledge of facts imparted to us heightened our awareness of our surroundings. Thijs, Johan and Gunilla all have such strong, strong skill sets too and the 5 of these guides together were such a symbiotic group.
