Well organized, and never a long line to disembark.
Tell us about the expedition team
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Always smiling and helpful. Enjoyed the fact that staff members made it a point to dine with guests. I also have to commend the expedition team for their tireless efforts to find wildlife. They were scanning the horizon continuously.
Tell us about the Ultramarine
Without a doubt, our favorite vessel we've ever sailed. We were on the seventh floor (Penthouse Suite) and it was fantastic. Very conveniently located to the Panorama Lounge (which has 24 hour a day coffee and snacks). Also the Bistro restaurant was open, which was a few steps from our cabin.

We specifically want to sail the Ultramarine again in Antarctica.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to The Arctic?
Set your expectations realistic in terms of wildlife density. It's not Antarctica where there are wildlife encounters at very close range and frequent. Scenery was ever bit as breathtaking as in Antarctica. I would highly recommend this vessel to any guests. The return flight from Svalbard was very late, and we didn't arrive in Helsinki until after 10:00 p.m. By the time we reached our hotel room, all the restaurants were closed. I'd recommend the charter flight serve a meal on board (there was none offered on the return flight). Thank goodness we dined in Svalbard before we departed.

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Advise travelers on the long layover in Svalbard on the return from the cruise. Also to be sure and dine in Svalbard before departing since you will be returning to Helsinki very late. The Swoop team in second to none when it comes to organizing polar travels. We love Swoop!
