Tell us about the wildlife
No, did not see much wild life. Mostly sea eagles which we also have at home. I saw; 1 arctic hair 1x orcas 1x polar bear
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Zodiac’s were fun. We saw beautiful icebergs and gletsjers. Unfortunately no interesting wild life.
Tell us about the expedition team
Expedition team were wonderful and very skilled with their presentations and keeping us busy on board.
Tell us about the Ultramarine
Ultramarine was a fantastic ship! Cabins were amazing! Food was amazing on some days and quiet cheaply put together on other days.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to The Arctic?
1. Much more Efficient travel to and from the ship! 2. Welcome drink when we came onboard. (I was sooo thirsty after the endless flight)! 3. Don’t serve lunch at 11 a.m. in order to get us off board as soon as possible. 4. Don’t leave us waiting in a bus for at least 1 hour before our flight to the ship. Try to have a terminal were you can at least sit, get some coffee and sandwiches. 5. Get a flight that gets us straight to the plain! No stops in Between to change crew, tank, etc. Furthermore the toilets from the previous flight, bringing us to the ship had not been cleaned, when picking us up!
