Attention to safety was superb - everyone treated so well and we did some amazing excursions

Sergei, Silvie, evgenie, maxim were all stand out team members - can’t fault any of them for enthusiasm and knowledge

Really comfortable ship, nice lounge area and library- nice dining room with amazing staff

Andrej from the catering and restaurant was the most thoughtful member of staff- every meal he told me I could have anything made for me- no allergens - they found me in the dining room even though I moved tables a lot - Poch was super too- the chefs do an incredible job to provide such tasty and varied food and be so good at avoiding contamination with allergens - they were a real highlight for me
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to The Arctic?
Be prepared that fog can influence excursions- be flexible as sometimes a trip can’t be landed if bears are there - they will always find something else for the guests to do- bring many layers as the weather varies alot
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes- I really feel bad we used 20,000 gallons of diesel on one trip - I think eco tourism is important. We heard alot about Norwegian laws and closeness to animals but since being in Longyearbyen we have heard awful stories about cruise ships and zodiacs coming within 10 metres of animals - not Poseidon - it’s disappointing to hear not everyone obeys the rules
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
No- It was all really good - can’t fault it and recommended Swoop to everyone on the trip.
