Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Safety is a table stake whenever on the water and in Zodiacs especially - the group leaders were careful, engaging, and informative - they understood when to drift and when to travel. They were agile as to allowing photographers or birders the opportunities to improve their viewpoint and photo opportunities.
Tell us about the expedition team
Our team were excellent. They were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They understood the safety rule and they understood what an excellent adventure was. They communicated clearly and worked with us to provide an excellent experience.
Tell us about the M/S Sjøveien
The M/S Sjovien - absolutely met with my expectations - it was solid and piloted by skilled professionals. The support team from chef to servers to deck hands to engineering were all focused on a delivering an exceptional journey.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to The Arctic?
Each month brings different options and opportunities. If you want to have a greater chance to see bears on ice - then earlier in the season when it is colder and waters more restrictive may be a better time. We enjoyed ourselves and will return.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I continue to learn more about sea birds and polar region wildlife.
